Riverside Park
Riverside Park is a popular location for residents and visitors alike, offering picturesque scenery with huge weeping willow trees. There are picnic areas, children’s play areas and many pleasant walkways and cycle paths to enjoy.
Band concerts are a regular occurrence on Sundays during the summer weeks commencing in June through to the end of August, playing a wide variety of music. The park is also regularly used for events such as the Dragon Boat Festival and St Neots Rowing Regatta.
Parking is available in Riverside car park for 250 cars. The popular Ambience Cafe is located here as well.
The Coneygeare – part of Riverside Park, is on the east of the river, and a large 70-space car park is available off Hardwick Road, Eynesbury, close to a camping club site.
Close by, there is a children’s play area, with three more situated within a comfortable walking distance elsewhere in the park, including Sudbury Meadow, which is a small conservation area next to Riverside Park, which is managed by Friends of Sudbury Meadow for the benefit of wildlife and the local community. The meadow received the prestigious Anglia in Bloom Biodiversity Award in 2007 and the Green Flag Community Award in 2011 and 2012.
A skateboarding complex and basketball court are situated at the southern end of the park, off River Road.
