Digging Deeper around St Neots: Results from the A428 Excavations
2 Oct 2026
7.30pm
United Reform Church
For this talk, we are being joined by MOLA Project Manager Simon Markus. Between July 2022 and June 2024, MOLA (The Museum of London Archaeology) undertook excavations ahead of the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement Scheme. As part of these works, several sites on the east edge of St Neots were explored, including pioneers first settling this landscape over 2,500 years ago, Roman workshops and landscape transformation and a section of deserted medieval village at Wintringham.
Please note the talk is at the URC, not our usual location.
Visitors – £5 on the door. Annual membership – £20
