The talk will cover the geology to explain why the quarry exists, look at its legacy of lakes and their biodiversity, including what we have found living around the edges and in the water. Simon will cover how we are going to monitor the lakes to ensure we increase their biodiversity.
This talk is £3 to attend with proceeds going towards the Friends of Paxton Pits, in turn helping to fund the upkeep of the reserve.
Refreshments will be available to purchase in the Visitor Centre.
Doors open at 6.30 pm for a 7 pm start.
