Join us this Halloween half-term for a magical self-led Spooky Pumpkin Trail around Paxton Pits Nature Reserve!

Become a Guardian of Paxton Pits and set off on a spooky outdoor adventure, searching for wooden pumpkins hidden along the trail. Each pumpkin features a Halloween silhouette and a number. Find them all and record the numbers in your Halloween Activity Booklet to crack the spooky code!

Your adventure begins and ends at the Visitors Centre, where you’ll discover a range of Halloween-themed activities and crafts.

Every child ticket includes:

• Spooky Activity Booklet – collect the numbers from all nine pumpkins and complete the spooky code.
• Halloween collection bag – collect natural treasures along the trail to use in your crafts.
• Wooden Guardian Amulet – decorate your very own wooden amulet and become an official Guardian of Paxton Pits.
• Willow Wand – create and decorate your own magical willow wand using willow from the Huntingdonshire countryside.
• Guardian of Paxton Pits Storytelling – gather in the Visitors Centre towards the end of your session and listen to a magical tale from the Keeper of the Wildwood.
• Spooky Sapling – once you’ve completed your adventure and activities, you’ll receive a young tree to take home and plant.

Booking Information

The trail runs from 10:00am until 4:00pm, with staggered start times throughout the day. The final bookable entry time is 3:00pm.
Each session has limited capacity per hour to ensure everyone has space to enjoy the activities in the Visitors Centre – secure your slot today to avoid disappointment.

Ticket prices

• Child (2–15 years): £7.50 – Each child ticket includes one free accompanying adult ticket. This £0 adult ticket must be added at the time of booking.
• Additional Adult (16+ years): £5.00 – Additional adults attending with a paying child can purchase a ticket for £5.00 each.
• Under 2s: Free – Children under 2 years old do not require a paid ticket.

Please note: Each paying child must be accompanied by an adult. One accompanying adult is included free of charge with every child ticket. If more than one adult (16+years) wishes to attend, please add an Additional Adult ticket to your booking.

Under 2s attend free of charge, but their £0 ticket does not include an accompanying adult ticket. If you are booking an Under 2 ticket ONLY, you will also need to book an Additional Adult ticket (£5) for the accompanying adult.

Tickets are subject to availability, and due to the limited capacity within the Visitors Centre, all adults and children attending must be included on the booking. We cannot accept any 16+ attendees without being included on a booking.
